About us

The Mama Eve Home project was founded by me, Maria João.
I have experience in nursing homes in Portugal and Germany, as well as in 24-hour care services.
The project combines dedication, empathy and international practical experience with a commitment to creating a real home!  

Our proposal

Mama Eve Home was born out of a deep desire to offer elderly people a home that goes beyond basic care.
Here, each resident will be welcomed as part of a family, with respect for their life history, their individual needs and their right to spend his or her twilight years with dignity. 

Importance of conceiving Mama Eve Home

"Ageing in Portugal continues to increase. In 2024, the ageing index reached 192.4 elderly people for every 100 young people (188.1 in 2023)."

Our vision

Mama Eve Home aims to be an example of person-centred care, where each elderly person is respected, listened to and encouraged to live this stage of life with joy and meaning.
We want to create a space where families feel confident and at ease when entrusting their loved ones to our care. 

First steps

Start

Initial Capacity: The project will start with 6 to 8 residents, in order to ensure a welcoming, intimate environment with personalized care.
Starting as a regional project in Portugal.

Evolution

Growing sustainably by increasing our capacity to help at a national level, opening more homes and creating home care services.
Create a legacy of care, love and community.
What we need to make it happen

• -Appropriate physical space
• -Specialised furniture and equipment (adjustable beds, ergonomic chairs, daily support materials)
• -Qualified human resources
• -Financial support and strategic partnerships
